I always loved the movie Yellow Submarine. Not only was it filled with great Beatles music, it had the most amazing animation. I was blown away by the weird psychedelic colors and surreal characters. During the performance of “It’s Only a Northern Song”, there is a great animation of each of the Beatles face, a la Peter Max style. I always liked this type of art. So I wanted to recreate it here.
